Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors

Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors: What matters to infrastructure investors

WIN Toronto is pleased to invite you to a KPMG-sponsored discussion with Canada Pension Plan Investment Board on key trends, risks and opportunities related to environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors for major infrastructure projects.

As the market for private investment grows more complex, ESG factors are attracting greater attention during private equity transactions as their impacts on deal valuations, commercial decision-making and investment approvals become clearer.

“ESG” is a term commonly used to refer to the predominantly non-financial factors that influence infrastructure investment returns. These issues often include environmental incidents, climate risk, health & safety practices, social license to operate, labour and working conditions, data privacy and cybersecurity, and business integrity risks. Fast moving developments in these areas require increasingly sophisticated approaches and tools to inform core investment decisions.

The webinar will be followed by an interactive question-and-answer session.
