Valerie is a Director on Fengate Asset Management’s Infrastructure Investment team with over 13 years of experience in the infrastructure sector. She is responsible for leading transaction execution, commercial structuring and risk management. Additionally, Valerie provides support for business development and fundraising activities of the team. Prior to joining Fengate in 2014, Valerie practiced as a commercial lawyer specializing in infrastructure and project finance with one of Canada’s leading legal firms.
Valerie has worked across all sectors of the infrastructure space (e.g. social, transportation, energy) and has completed projects in both Canada and the U.S. She regularly works with various public-sector stakeholders, as well as most of the industry’s leading construction and service firms, in addition to coordinating with third party advisors.
Valerie was also one of the founding Executive Committee members of the Young Leaders in Infrastructure from 2011-2016 and helped to expand the organization to chapters in Vancouver, Montreal and Ottawa.
Valerie received an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto with distinction and a Bachelor of Law degree from Queen’s University.
