Johanna Navas

Potentialize Consulting Inc.

Johanna is the President and Founder of Potentialize Consulting Inc. Potentialize is a management consulting firm that specializes in project delivery, project management process improvement, and people and change leadership.

Prior to starting her own consulting firm, Johanna was the Executive Commercial Director at Transportation Investment Corporation’s (TI Corp). At TI Corp, she was responsible for developing and implementing commercial controls, processes, and procedures including procurement, contracts, claims, and risk management for TI Corp’s projects. Formerly, Johanna also served as KPMG’s Major Capital Project Lead for their Infrastructure Advisory Canadian Practice.

Over the last 20 years, Johanna has participated in some of the most complex and transformative projects in Canada providing a variety of services including: project set-up services; project risk, governance, and controls assessments; people and change leadership; as well as project support on complex and troubled projects. Her $30B+ projects portfolio includes projects within Canada and internationally, within the public and private sectors, and using a variety of delivery methods such as DB, DBB, EPCM, and P3. Projects include: City of Calgary’s Greenline Project, BC Hydro’s Site C Clean Energy Project, Manitoba Hydro’s Keeyask Project, Pattullo Bridget Replacement Project, and CRD’s Waste Water Treatment Project, amongst others.

She is a Civil Engineer and holds a Master of Business Administration from Queens University and a Master of Applied Science in Project and Construction Management from the University of British Columbia. Johanna is also a PROSCI Change Management certified professional.

Johanna has a strong voice for embedding mentorship into her teams and projects. Johanna is passionate about people and advancing women in infrastructure and she acts as a formal mentor for several women in the infrastructure space while also acting as an informal mentor to many others.
